Admissions

Admissions Criteria

The school's standard number of for admission is 30. When more children seek entry than there are places the following criteria will determine entry.

Category 1 - Children of regular worshipping Church in Wales members.
Category 2 - Children who already have a brother or a sister in school.
Category 3 - Children of regular worshipping members of other denominations.
Category 4 - Children living within the locality, priority given to those living nearest the school.

In previous years 30 pupils have been accepted into Reception class.

Important Dates - You should contact the  Headteacher as soon as possible to arrange a visit and/or obtain a prospectus. Your child's name will be entered onto our admissions register.

Mid October - Application forms sent out to parents who have registered their child for Reception for the following September.

Beginning of November - Completed application forms must be returned by this date for consideration for Reception in September.

Early December - Letters go out to Clergy to obtain references, if applicable.

Late December - Admissions panel meets to decide on intake and parents are informed.

January - L.E.A. and other admissions bodies informed of decision of Admissions panel.

In Archdeacon John Lewis we have a Sex Education and Homework Policy. On admission you will be asked to sign a declaration that you have read and agreed the contents of both policies.
